Tyler O. Meding

Salem, NY – Tyler Otis Meding, age 39, went peacefully to the Lord, on March 1, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital with his loving mother by his side.

Tyler was born on December 21, 1978 in Phoenix, Arizona the son of James and Linda (Town) Meding.

Tyler was a graduate of Avondale High School. He relocated to New York in 2001 to be nearer to his maternal grandparents.

He was a member of the East Hebron Presbyterian Church. He was a participant in the Special Olympics and earned medals in bowling. He was very social and looked forward to gatherings with family and friends and brought great joy to all he met.

His favorite activities included swimming, music, being outside and dining out, especially at Olive Garden. He was fortunate to have toured much of the United States visiting his sister Lisa and brother-in-law, Navy Captain Daniel Packer at seaports on both the East and West coasts.

Tyler attended the day programs at the Eastpointe Facility in North Granville which he enjoyed.

There were so many special people in his life and his family would like to give individual thanks to his Pastor Laura Mitchell, to Dawn Clement, Dian Warrington, Chrissy Secor and Betty James for the wonderful care and fun times they shared with Tyler, along with Adele Potter and Bonnie Salley who provided his physical therapy with such enthusiasm. The care he received by the staff at Glens Falls Hospital was outstanding.

Tyler was predeceased by his father James Meding and stepfathers John Music and Ronald Parker. In addition to his mother Linda, he is also survived by his sister Lisa Packer, stepsisters Melissa McNamara and Rhonda Parker and stepbrother Peter Parker.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Hebron Presbyterian Church, 6559 SR 22 in East Hebron at Noon. Friends may call from 11 AM until the time of the service. A luncheon will follow in the church social hall.
