Darwin Charles Tressler Granville, NY – Darwin, age 100, passed away on October 23, 2017, just a few months shy of his 101st birthday. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a proud World War II veteran, who served as a tank commander and camp liberator. He was honored with a Purple Heart and Bronze Star, among many other awards for his valiant service. He is predeceased by his wife Lillian (2012) and a grandson Bryan (2007). He is survived by a daughter Dorothy Hanks and her husband Gene of Puyallop, WA, a son Robert and his wife Mary Lou of Hebron, NY, three grandchildren: Cindy Atwood and her husband Jim of Milton, WA, Jennifer Tressler and Robert Tressler II both of Brooklyn and a great granddaughter Zoey Atwood of Milton, WA. A funeral with full military honors will be held in the spring at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
