Floyd G. Carrera

Middle Granville, NY - Floyd Gregory Carrera passed away at his home on February 15, 2024. He was 61 years old.

Floyd worked for many years at Saint-Gobain. He was a volunteer fire fighter at the Hook & Ladder many years ago, and he enjoyed the dances that were held there. Floyd was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and liked Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Sr in NASCAR. He loved bird watching, especially eagles. Floyd will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul, who loved his family and all animals.

Floyd is predeceased by his parents, James (Louie) and Doris Carrera, and his nephew, Jonathan Lennox. Floyd is survived by his children, Elizabeth Carrera, Emily Carrera, and David Carrera. He is also survived by his siblings, James (Karen) Carrera, Debra (David) Lennox, Bruce (Bernadette) Carrera, Missy (Tom) Morey, and Judy (Phil) Towne. He is survived by his grandchildren, Noah and Arya Krupski, along with many nieces and nephews. Floyd is also survived by his special cat (Shadow) and bird (Marvin).

As per Floyd's request, there are no calling hours or funeral services. Burial will be private with the family. The family would like to thank the Charles A. Wood Cancer Center, Fort Ann EMS, and Middle Granville Fire Department for all of their help.
