Mrs. Carroll…to know her was to love her. She was my first neighbor, my great grandmas neighbor, my grandmas neighbor and once again my neighbor as I entered my adult years. Her backyard and grandmas backyard were always just one and all the kids treated it as such. All the kids the came into her home were her grandkids and in the summer there was never a shortage of sweet treats and ice pops. She was probably one of the first to hold me as a child and one of the first to hold my own child many years later. She was a safe place to hang out and share stories when I accidentally locked myself out (which I did a lot). She was more than just a neighbor but a part of the family. I learned how to ride my bike in her driveway, when her and my own grandma weren’t sitting on their lawn chairs in the driveway giving eachother the latest gossip of pacific street. Her life with forever have impacted mine and I am so blessed to have had a chance to be a part of it. She surely was an angel on earth and her memory will live on through everyone who loved her.

O Barb, who’s going to watch the street with me now? No more meeting in your driveway to catch up on the scoop and our issues. You were a great neighbor. Will miss you! Condolences to the Family. There were very few days that one of you didn’t check in on Barb. She was fortunate to have you all in her life. She was proud of you all! I know she will be greatly missed by you all!
