Elaine Hughes, passed away on March 6, 2025 at Glens Falls Hospital.

She was born on February 27, 1951 in Granville, NY the daughter of Lynn H.and Alice (Chapman) Pepper.

Elaine worked as a nurses assistant for her career.

She married Walter "Buddy" Hughes of Granville. They loved music and greatly enjoyed MVP Arena Concerts in their younger years, replaced with the more sedate summer music series festivals throughout parks in the area. The music, the friends, the warm summer nights...what a combination. Elaine loved her little dachshunds.

She was predeceased by her parents,and a sister Barbara Beecher. Elaine is survived by her devoted spouse Buddy and son Todd Bascom (Kim) all of Granville. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Lynne Pepper of Hudson Falls, Jeannie Kiley of Albany and Jacqueline Quinlan of Hudson Falls. Elaine was blessed with two granddaughters Lauren and Kaitlynn Basom. Elaine is also survived by Todd's father Robert Bascom and his wife JoJi, of the Philippines.

In keeping with Elaine's wishes there will be no visitation or service at this time.
