Lowell G. Ferguson, age 91, of West Pawlet, VT passed away on March 10, 2025 at the Rutland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born February 11, 1934, he was the youngest child of the late Charles E. and Lena (Gribus) Ferguson. He was born and raised in Northford, CT.
He was a US Army Veteran. After entering the service in 1956 and completing basic training, he was assigned as a guided missile creman in Fort George Meade, MD where he served with Battery C, 1st Missile Bn. After working many years for St. Johnsbury trucking, he retired and moved to West Pawlet, VT. He was a very independent person and insisted on removing snow up to the very end.
Fergie was well like throughout his life. He always kept in contact with his family, the veterans, coworkers and his many lifelong friends.
He like going to the casino, collecting antiques, morning coffee with his friends, church suppers, his sister Irene's carrot cake, Friday night supper with his good friends Ray and Beth Duquette, Sr. Ray Duquette Jr. and Dody and their family.
Lowell will be truly missed by his niece Kathyrn Boynton of Wallingford, CT, his very close friends, Ray and Beth Duquette of West Pawlet and an enormous amount of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Earle, Philo, Tracy,Floyd and Fred Ferguson and his sisters Gertrude Salg, Irene Drozdz, Alma Bayne, Doris Messier, Elsie Kastukevich, Juliet Kuminick, Edith Beckley and a close niece Sylvia Belomizi.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
