Fort Edward, NY - Robert L Williams, age 91 passed away at the Fort Hudson Nursing Center following a long illness, with his son Robert at his side.

Bob was born in Hudson Falls, NY on February 26, 1934, the son of Austin and Jenny (Losaw) Williams.

He served in the US Army and National Guard for many years. After his military service he returned home and began his work career of 37 years at Decora in Fort Edward, NY. His retirement job was being a driver for Holbrook Adult home in Granville, finally retiring at 80 years old.

He enjoyed squared dancing, telling stories and jokes. He was always there to help anyone who needed it.

Robert is survived by his sons, Robert T of Queensbury and Henry of Hennessey, Tennesee and a daughter Joann of Glens Falls. Also surviving are his step daughters Kathy Macura, Judy Warner,

Sandi Campbell, Donna Wilson and Susan Parry, all of Granville. He is survived by a sister Sharon Lapraire of South Glens Falls. He was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents, his wife Ellen, brothers: Austin, David, George, Roger, James, and Jerry and sisters Bernice and Betty.

The would like to thank The Terrace at the Glen and The Fort Hudson Nursing Home for the care they have Bob and all of the support. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Fort Hudson Nursing home and the Alzheimers Foundaiton.They also appreciate Zella. They both new each other and were sweethearts and Zellas family welcomed Bob into their family. They went to church together and dad use to mow her lawn. They knew each other a long time since Ellen's passing.Even after Zella passed they continued to come see him. They were awesome.

Friends may call on Monday, June 2 at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville from 12 - 12:45 at which time a brief prayer service will be held. At 1 PM departure will be to the Scottsville Cemetery in Danby, VT for a 1:30-1:45 committal service.
