Obituary of Ricky Chandler

Ricky Lee Chandler June 4, 1985 - July 27, 2025 Ricky "Ricky Bobby" Lee Chandler, 40, passed away unexpectedly due to injuries resulting in a motorcycle accident on July 27, 2025. Ricky was born on June 4th, 1985 at the Glens Falls Hospital in New York. He is the son of Emma Lee James (her late husband Vern James) and the late Richard Chandler. He is also the Godson of Daniel Nolin, also known as "Big Dan". Ricky was a very hard worker. He did many things such as Mechanic work, Construction and Lawn service as well as DJ'ing with his father Richard Chandler,"On the Run DJ". He enjoyed riding motorcycles most of all. He was an on-the-go handyman and would help anybody. He loved his dog "Mack" very much as well as his other dogs. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed playing the drums, guitar and singing. He also enjoyed teaching his nephews all about small engine repair, He lived his life to the fullest and was fun to be around. But most importantly he was a Son, Father, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend. He is predeceased by his father Richard Chandler; his dad Lavern "Vern" James Jr.; his son Jordan Chandler; his sister Kristina "Poohy" Chandler-Finlayson; his maternal and paternal Grandparents as well as many Aunts and Uncles. He leaves behind his mother Emma James; Godfather Daniel "Big Dan" Nolin (Dolores); only surviving Grandfather Lavern James Sr.; Girlfriend Danielle Saville Greene (Jamie, Star); Brother Derek James (Hayliegh); His sisters Debbie James-Graves (Keith Graves); Stephanie James; Tonee and Tosha James; Bridget Cartrette; Faithe and Hanna Carson; and Gabriel Chandler. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, some include: Christopher; Sierra; Dejohn; Taliyah; Nizavior; Jose; Zaniyah; Dawsyn; Brody; Karter; Hayd'n; Jayden; Kassity; Savannah; and Julianna; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. At the family's request there will be no calling hours, A Celebration of Life will be held on August 30, 2025 at the American Legion, 10 Columbus St., Granville, New York 12832, from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. Please feel to bring a dish to this event.
