John DiMinico
April 23, 1949 – August 16, 2025
John DiMinico, 76, of West Pawlet, Vermont, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, at Mountain View Center in Rutland, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
Born in Revere, Massachusetts, on April 23, 1949, John built a life rooted in family, food, and community. He was the former owner of Macaroni's Pizza in Granville, NY, where he shared his love of cooking and created a welcoming place for friends and neighbors.
John's greatest joy in life was being "Papa." He cherished time spent with his grandchildren, whether it was teaching them family recipes, making pizzas together, celebrating birthdays, backyard barbecues filled with laughter and love.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Walker-DiMinico; his sons, Joe and James DiMinico; and his cherished grandchildren, Nova Rose, Ava Grace, and Roanan John DiMinico. He is also survived by his brother, Robert DiMinico of Saugus, Massachusetts, and his sister, Mary Jo (DiMinico) Stanton of Reading, Massachusetts.
John was predeceased by his parents, Rose (Forti) DiMinico and Joseph DiMinico.
He will be remembered for his warm heart, his passion for cooking, and above all, the love he gave to his family.
A service in John's honor will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Methodist Church in Granville, NY (across from Robert M. King Funeral Home). In addition, a celebration of life will take place with friends and family in Massachusetts on September 20, 2025.
