Annis Ward Norton, 92 of Fort Ann, NY passed away peacefully on November 15th 2025.

The visitation and funeral service will be held at the Robert M. King Funeral Home in Granville, NY on November 24th starting at at 2:00PM. Burial be private at Morningside Cemetery in Hartford.

Annis was born in Glens Falls, NY, the daughter of Arnold and Flora (Phillips) Ward of Fort Ann, NY on January 25th 1933. She attended Fort Ann Central High School and graduated in the class of 1950. She and her husband operated a diary farm following their marriage in 1964. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and her doting on her grandchildren. She had a kind and generous spirit, and will be remembered for bringing family together. Earlier in life, she was active in the Grange organization and proud to have been a member for over 50 years

Annis is survived by her son Edward Norton Jr., his wife Cindy, and their daughter Mia and son Edward John (EJ) of Oakton, VA. She is also survived by her sister Janet Merrigan of Lakeworth, FL, and brother John Ward of Greenwich, NY, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Norton Sr, her parents, and several of her siblings.

Memorial donations may be made to the Fort Ann Rescue Squad, PO Box 237, Fort Ann, NY 12827. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Home of the Good Shepard, Malta and Baptist Heath, Scotia who cared for her over the past two years.
