Darlene Kretzer (Hall), of West Granville, New York, passed away on November 19, 2025, at

the age of 83. She was born on September 8, 1942, and lived a fulfilling life with love and

laughter.

Darlene attended Granville Central School and went on to work as a secretary at the

Granville Sentinel. Darlene married Gary Kretzer on June 17, 1967, at Truthville Baptist

Church, and dedicated many years to being a stay-at-home mom, raising her three

children, Marc, Rebecca, and Cynthia.

Later in her career, Darlene worked as a secretary at Truthville Christian Academy and then

at the department of Public Health, from which she retired.

Outside of her professional life, Darlene had a passion for reading, especially books about

the Amish. She enjoyed attending basket parties with friends and family and looked

forward to her yearly trips to the Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA, and exploring all

of the Amish places in the area. She also loved the Annual family picnic for the 4th of July at

Huletts Landing on Lake George with family and friends.

She is survived by her son Marc (Pat), her daughter Cynthia (Emily), her grandson Marc Jr.

(Jill), her sisters-in-law Martha, Linda, and Sandy. Her cousins Eldon and Dave Hall and several nieces

and nephews. She is reunited with her Husband Gary, her beautiful Daughter Rebecca, her Brothers

Milton, Gary, Wendell and Phillip. Her Parent's Willard and Alta Hall.

The family would like to thank the staff at Slate Valley Center for taking such good care of

her. They would also like to thank everyone that took the time to visit and send cards during

her stay. Those always put a smile on her face.

Darlene will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on through her

children, her grandson, and her extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5,2025 at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, NY from 11 AM - 2 PM. Following the visitation a graveside funeral and burial will be held at the Bethany Cemetery in Truthville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, we welcome donations to Truthville Baptist Church, or a memorial tree in

memory of Darlene Kretzer.
