Patricia Gail (Moore) Gebo passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026. She was born on August 13, 1944 in Schenectady, NY and grew up in Granville, NY where she attended the one room schoolhouse on Quaker Street. After graduating from Granville High School in 1961, she achieved her Masters in Library Science and High School English from SUNY Albany in 1965. She immediately began her career as a high school librarian in South Glens Falls, followed by a 33-year tenure at Schuylerville. She retired in 1999 and happily moved to a small farm with her beloved horses, goats, dogs and cats. Pat was a fierce defender of animals and nature. Travel was another love, including two trips to Great Britain and other destinations. She was a woman of great intellect, an avid reader who valued continual learning.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frances Etouile (Schaffer) Moore and Harley Alan Moore, and her brother, Barry P. Moore. She briefly worked pumping gas at Moore's Corners; the business started by Harley and Barry in 1961.
She is survived by her daughters Suzanne Barber (Noel Seeley) and Meg (Ryan) Wolfe and four grandchildren, Caroline Barber, Sean Barber, Payton Wolfe and Rowan Wolfe.
Calling hours will be held at Robert M. King Funeral Home located at 23 Church St., Granville, NY on Tuesday, February 3rd from 4-6 pm. A private graveside service and burial will be held in the spring under the pine trees at Mettowee Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the National Wildlife Federation or the World Wildlife Fund.
