Paul MacArthur Manchester passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20th.


Born on June 4, 1949, in Granville, New York, to MacArthur and Anita Manchester. Paul spent his early years living in Virginia and New Hampshire before returning to his hometown of Granville, where he graduated from Granville High School. Following college, Paul began a lifelong career in education, teaching Economics and Government at the high school level for over 30 years. He was a dedicated educator who took great pride in shaping the minds of his students and serving his community.


Paul honorably served his country in the Vermont National Guard and the United States Army Reserves, achieving the rank of Captain before his honorable discharge. His commitment to service extended beyond the military. He was a former member of the Granville Rotary Club and faithfully served the community as both Village and Town Justice for more than three decades.


Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Suzanne Manchester; his son, James (Tera) Manchester; and his cherished grandsons, Jack and Evan. He is also survived by his sister, Monica (Larry) Updike; his brothers, Kevin (Judy) Manchester and John (Lisa) Manchester; his sisters-in-law, Dianne Lavallee and Barbara Repasky; along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.


A Catholic Mass and memorial service will be held on June 6th, 10 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Granville, NY
