To all of Gregory George Matteson Sr. "AKA" Savage friends and family:
We regret to inform you of his passing, April 6th, 2026 at the age of 63 from a long illness.
He is survived by his daughter April Smith (Michael), daughter Crystal Taylor (Eric), son Gregory Matteson, Jr., stepfather Leroy Monroe, brother Raymond Matteson Jr. Greg was bless with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers as well as his mother Florence Monroe and his biological father Raymond Matteson, Sr.
Greg loved hunting,fishing and trapping. He still talked about hunting two days before he passed. He loved it that much.
Per his request he wanted no wake or funeral service. He was loved by many. May he rest in peace. He will be forever missed.
