Annette Groesbeck Minnie Obituary

Annette Groesbeck Minnie Obituary

Annette (Groesbeck) Minne unexpectedly passed away on May 19th, 2026, at the age of 62.

Born on July 7th, 1963, in Glens Falls, New York, to Lillian Hall and Edward Groesbeck, Sr., Annette was fiercely independent and deeply caring toward the people and animals she loved. From a young age, she was determined to find her own way in the world and faced life's hardships head-on.

Annette spent her able-bodied years working as a CNA at skilled nursing facilities throughout the area, work she loved deeply. She loved caring for people, and even through her own struggles, she remained deeply generous, always willing to give the shirt off her back and make sure the people she loved felt appreciated.

She was predeceased by her parents, Lillian Hall and Edward Groesbeck, Sr.; her beloved son, Nathan, whose loss changed her life forever; her sister, Renee Groesbeck, who was not only her sister but one of her closest lifelong friends; and her siblings Deborah (York) Bassett, Alexis "Lucky" (York) Casey, and John Groesbeck. Nathan brought enormous joy to Annette and everyone around him, and she carried his memory with her every day.

Annette is survived by her daughter, Chyennee Loomis; Chyennee's husband, Kevin Loomis; and her grandchildren, Sadie Martindale, Wyatt Loomis, and Miranda Loomis, who were the center of her world. She never missed an opportunity to brag about them and would have done anything for them. She also held a special place in her heart for Sadie's best friend, Mya Smith, who became like family to her.

She is also survived by her brother, Edward Groesbeck, Jr. and his wife Pam of Castleton, Vermont; her sister, Carol Stosse of Stratford, Connecticut; her sister, Stella Rathbun of North Granville, New York; her brother, Daniel Cenate of Granville, New York; many nieces and nephews, including her nephew Nicholas Rathbun, whom she treated as one of her own; and valued family friend Tom Quinlan, who was always there to help her when she needed him.

Annette had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs, who were often bigger than she was. Even while being pulled around by them, she adored them completely, and they loved her just as fiercely in return. She also loved horses and dreamed of wide-open Montana skies, imagining herself sitting on a quiet porch watching wild horses run free.

Life was not always easy for Annette, but her warmth, loyalty, humor, and caring heart never left her. She loved deeply, worried about the people she cared for, and never stopped checking in on those she loved.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Friday, May 22nd, with services to immediately follow. A celebration of Annette's life will be held this summer, with the date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Annette's memory may be made to Lucky Puppy Great Beginnings Adoption Center, an organization that reflects her lifelong love of animals.
