Sally Ann Aldous

Granville, NY- Sally Ann Aldous passed away unexpectedly on May 23, 2026 at her home.

Sally was born on October 22, 1970 in Glens Falls, NY and is the daughter of Robert and Sylvia (Bassett) Loomis.

She was a graduate of Granville High School and SUNY Adirondack. Sally worked in the family business, Loomis Trucking in West Pawlet, VT. She had an extensive work family and will be missed by Michelle Cook, the drivers and many business friends she made throughout the years.

Sally married Timothy Aldous in 1992 and together they raised two beautiful children Mackenzie and Nathan Aldous.

She was a member of the MWA donating her time at bingo and the yearly carnival. She was the Secretary of the North Granville Cemetery Committee. She was also a past member of the Border Riders and the North Granville Methodist Church Board. Sally was an avid volunteer for whomever needed it. She was always a go-to volunteer as her children were growing up with things like the FFA and After Prom Party.

While always doing for others Sally still found time to squeeze in things that brought her joy. Always loving to cook and bake for her family and friends, working in her flower beds, and enjoying crafts and projects that enhanced her creative side. She enjoyed working out and going for bicycle rides. The outdoors was one of her favorite places to be. She had also begun delving into the adventures offered in a good book. Other new pursuits were learning to drive the tractor and help out on the Aldous farm.

But of all of the pursuits she engaged in her passion was found in the tractor parades. She and her family were award winning decorators for the events in Greenwich and Granville. Another much loved anual event was the group vacations with friends.

Sally is survived by her loving husband, Tim and their children Mackenzie and Nathan. Left to miss her immeasurably are her parents Robert and Sylvia, her brother Jeff Loomis (Heather), in-laws Edgar and Joanne Aldous and sister-in-law Rebecca Stevens (Adam). Another who will look for her is her canine family member, Cali. She will also be missed by her "Circuit Sisters".

Friends may call at Kings Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 2nd from Noon - 2PM and 4-7PM. Her funeral service will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at the MWA in Wells, VT. on Wednesday afternoon, June 3 @ 1PM. Food donations are welcomed for this event. Please contact Andrea Rathbun (518) 423-8083.

A fund is being established to create a "Sally Aldous Award" for a participant in the Granville tractor parade, with the criteria for the award still be determined. She loved a good tractor parade! Contributions may be mailed to the King Funeral Home, 23 Church Street, Granville, NY 12832
