Obituary of June B. Fasoli

Please share a memory of June to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mother, Singer, Artist - June Blossom Fasoli died peacefully February 1, 2020, in Peabody, MA, surrounded by the love of her family and caregivers. She died 3 months shy of her 101st birthday. June was born on April 15th,1919 in West Rupert, VT; with a birth certificate as "Female Blossom"! She loved her family and lived a truly wonderful life of travel, adventure, and good times with friends. She marveled at having met Calvin Coolidge as a 9 year old, and singing for Franklin D. Roosevelt on his boat in 1935 as a 16 year old. She read over 700 books in the past 20 years alone and enjoyed her daily Boston Globe so she could talk about current events when you visited her. As a needlepoint artist, she stitched everything from Renoir Paintings to original Gucci inspired designs; over 100 works. June was a soprano singer who began singing in her teens and throughout her life. As a college student at Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT, she had her own radio show , "The June Blossom Hour". She had a twinkle in her eye, and a wonderful sense of humor that endeared her to all who met her. She taught us all how to age gracefully with dignity and a smile. June would say her secret to a youthful, long life was a glass of wine, good genes, and "Clinque"! She reminded us that happiness is a choice and to always cherish this moment and to dream about future happy times. June outlived all of her peers starting with her first husband William George Cole who died in WWII, her second husband, Paul Ashley Fasoli who died at 80, and all of their parents and siblings over the past 20 years. She is survived by her five children; first born son, William George Cole of Stuart, FL., Paul Ashley Fasoli, Jr. of Mansfield, MA, Lyn Fasoli of Darwin, NT Australia,Lee Fasoli of Salem, MA and Elaine Fasoli Bailey of Rowley, MA, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A private family graveside burial is planned for the springtime in upstate New York. In lieu of flowers, June really enjoyed music and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
