Obituary of Edna M. Winot

Edna M. Winot West Pawlet, VT – Edna M. Winot, age 84, passed away peacefully at Rutland Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Edna was born on February 19, 1933 in Rupert, VT the daughter of the late Charles R. and Ruth L. (Dennison) Watrous. Edna was a loving and caring wife, Mom, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She raised four children and was a homemaker for Erwin and their family. She was very busy through the years in addition to her wife and mother duties. She was a 30-year member of the W. Pawlet Ladies Auxiliary, a 60-year member of the Mt. Anthony Grange and a lifetime member of the Rupert Methodist Church. She loved organizing the Woodchuck Festival in W. Pawlet as well as flea markets four times a year. She also was a Friendly Home Dealer for many years. She enjoyed collecting; one of her favorite collections being her Beanie Babies. In the last couple years, she also became a fan of adult coloring, bringing pleasure through her artistic flare. Edna was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Erwin, and she was the love of his life for 40 years. She is survived by her children David Davis of Barre, Debra Hunter (Kim) of Lake Bomoseen, Kathy Beebe (Thomas) of East Dorset and Gloria Davis of Rutland. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and six siblings. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1 PM at the Rupert Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Atkins presiding. Burial will follow at the Rupert Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Robert M King Funeral Home, Granville, NY.
