Gary Hicks posted a condolence

To all of Ken's family: Although Ken and I rarely saw each other in later life, we had a wonderful and strong friendship growing up as neighbors in Slyboro. In addition to his love of hunting at young age, he also had a passion for loud cars and motorcycles well before our legal age to drive. I have fondly recalled many times hearing the roar all the way to my house of his "junk" cars, with no exhaust, circling the dirt track at his house until he ran out of gas for the week. Then it was quiet until his next week's allowance came through. At age 13 or 14 we bought motorcycles. Slyboro was never the same after that! We cruised through the pastures, woods and fields day after day as very little land was posted in the 1960's and everyone knew all their neighbors. There were even rumors that we occasionally traveled the back roads on our motorcycles during those young pre-license days, but I never saw any hard evidence of that. Guess one will never know.
Ken was a good friend and we enjoyed years of fun and companionship growing up. I know you will miss him greatly, but know he touched a lot of lives and we'll remember him fondly. My sincere condolences.
