Obituary of Robert Richard Ballard

Robert R. Ballard, Jr. Granville, NY – Robert R. Ballard, Jr., age 37, passed away on July 9, 2017. Robert was born on March 15, 1980 in Albany, NY the son the late Robert R. Ballard and Barbara Kelly. He followed in his father's footsteps and worked in slate, at several area quarries. Robert adored his three children. He was a frequent flyer at Stewarts Shops and could almost always be seen with the familiar Stewarts coffee cup in his hand. The stop usually included scratch off tickets. He loved movies and country music. But hands down, he loved time with his children and their mother. Robert was predeceased by his parents and a brother Robert J. Morse. Survivors include his wife Marie (Wilbur) Ballard and his three children: Tanika Marie Lynn Ballard, Dominic Francis Ballard and Benjamin Francis Andrews. His siblings who survive him are: Joseph G. Morse (Sherrie) of Fort Edward, William Morse of Middlebury, VT, Michael Matteson of Cohoes, NY, Blue Jean Matteson (Gail) of Fort Ann, NY, Kelly Morse and her companion Rick Coats of Argyle, Shannon Hogan (Kathi) of PA., Patricia Briggs and her companion Roger Perry of Hudson Falls, Rachel Morse of Hudson Falls, September Matteson (Cassey) of Hudson Falls and Stephanie Loomis (John) of Granville. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 1 PM at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St, Granville. Friends may call from 11 AM until 12:45 PM at the funeral home. A gathering will follow the funeral service at the VFW Pavilion located on 121 North Street, Granville, NY.
