Obituary of Evelyn Y Baldwin

Evelyn Y. Baldwin Granville, NY – Evelyn Yauger Baldwin passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 12, 2021, at Granville Center. Evelyn was born on October 1, 1924, in Granville, the daughter of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Taylor) Yauger. She graduated from Granville High School in 1942. Upon graduation she worked at Emma Laing Stevens Hospital as a secretary. She married Leslie Baldwin November 25, 1946. Together they had a wonderful family which they raised in Granville. Evelyn returned to the workforce for a time at the Granville Central School District office where she retired from in 1982. She enjoyed reading, fill-in puzzles and crocheting after her retirement. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Leslie in 2005, three siblings: Milford Yauger, Frank Yauger and Eileen Davis Ford. She will be missed by her four children: Barbara White of Clifton Park, Leslye Milos of Colonie, Krista Tucker of Port Richey, FL, and Gary Michael Baldwin of Granville. Evelyn was blessed with four grandchildren: Stacey White Schott of Ballston Lake, Gina White Palmer (Greg) of Canal Winchester, OH, Tara Emery Loomis of Middle Granville and Zachary (Alissa) Milos of Bedminster, NJ, in addition to seven great grandchildren: Chloe and Ava Palmer, Tyler and Carly Schott, Patrick and Ashleigh Loomis, Carina Milos and two great great grandchildren Charles Cross and Maverick Loomis, several nieces and nephews and long-time friend of 60 years, Lorraine Troy. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Granville Center as well as Helen Hyatt for the special care given to their mother. Her funeral will be private and at the convenience of the family.
