Michael S. Park West Pawlet, VT – Michael "Mike" Stetz Park passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a long fight with Parkinson's disease. Mike was born on June 10, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY the son of Henry and Sophia (Stetz) Park Sr. He grew up in West Pawlet, VT and graduated from Granville High School. He enlisted in the Army and served in the 13th Transportation Division. After serving in the Army and returning to West Pawlet he met and married Ellen Stearns on July 12, 1969. Mike worked for three local businesses over the years as a mechanic: John Stokowski & Son's, Bardin's Service Station and Moore's Corner's. Above all else Mike loved spending time with his family. Over the years he enjoyed attending hockey games, going to fairs and livestock shows throughout the area and attending his children's 4 H events. He was always ready to travel with this his children and their friends on their many adventures. Mike was predeceased by his parents, his brother Henry Park Jr., and his in-laws Walter J and Evelyn Sterns. Survivors are his wife Ellen "Ellie" Park, his children Eric Park (Danielle) of Granville, NY and daughter Stephanie Sorrentino of Rutland, VT. He was blessed with five grandchildren: Branden, Shelden, Hannah, Eva and Kaitlynn. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Rodney Park (Donna Casey) of Pawlet, Joanne McCullen (Lyn) of Black River, NY and Todey Priest (Mark) of Vermont and his sister-in-law Sandi Park of Queensbury in addition to many nieces and nephews.
