Marlene S. King

Granville, NY – Marlene S. King, age 84, passed away at Slate Valley Center in N. Granville following an extended illness on Sunday, July 24, 2022.


Marlene was born in Granville, NY on March 13, 1938, the daughter of Marlen and Ruth (Kenyon) Martin.


She married Richard C King on December 1, 1987 who proved to be her soulmate.


Marlene was the care giver in her family. She took care of her grandmother Susie Kenyon, her mom and her husband. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.


She was predeceased by her son Steven Martin, her husband Richard, parents Marlen and Ruth Martin and siblings William and Joan Gordon. Survivors are her siblings Pauline Hennig, Marlen Martin, and Donna Groome well as several nieces and nephews. She was especially close to and grateful for her nephew Jeff Gordon who served as her "wheels" for the last few years. Her family know they are all better for having had her in their lives.

Marlene will be laid to rest at Gerald B H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with her husband on Wednesday, August 17th. 2022 at 1:30 PM.
