Sandra Jean Holcomb

Comstock, NY – Sandra Jean Holcomb Ballard Hammond passed away on December 29, 2022, at her home with her loving family.

Sandy was born on September 26, 1945, in Whitehall, NY the daughter of Elwyn A. and Ethel V. (Baldwin) Holcomb Sr.

She was employed at Sherwood for 25 years, followed by 9 more at General Electric. She also worked for a time at The Oaks Nursing Home.

Sandy was predeceased by her parents, her siblings: Myrtle Holcomb, Dorothy Roberts, Jane Babcock and Ruthanne Fecketter, a great granddaughter Samara Allen and her two husbands Donald H. Hammond, Truman O. Ballard. Survivors are her children: Karen L. Davis of Hudson Falls, NY, Kim M Davis of Comstock, NY, Kenneth R. Ballard or Truthville, NY and Michael J. Ballard Merrit, BC and a sibling Elwyn W. Holcomb, Jr. of Eustis, FL. In addition, she leaves behind her in laws Edwin Ballard and Joan Ballard both of Middle Granville and John Ballard of Daytona Beach, FL as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
