Vivian B. Johnson
Granville, NY – Vivian B Johnson, age 90, of Granville, NY went home to the arms of the Lord and her loved ones on Sunday, April 19, 2023 at The Pines of Glens Falls.
Vivian was born in Ira, Vermont, the daughter of Floyd E. and Ruth (Merithew) Chambers.
As a young girl, the family moved to the Oneida Corners area of Queensbury. Vivian graduated from Hudson Falls High School and went on to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse by attending training at Amsterdam Hospital. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Glens Falls, Schenectady and for the State of New York at Wilton Developmental Center.
Vivian enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and was a skilled crocheter. Her afghans and the dolls she made for so many were loved by all.
Vivian is survived by her daughter and son-in-law who was more like a son, Christine M and John L Cook of Granville, a daughter-in-law Diane C. Martell of Deansboro, NY. She was blessed with three grandchildren Adam R. Cook (Virginia) of Granville, Abigail Wilbur of Granville and Jeannine K. Morris (Christopher) of Deansboro, NY; and four great grandchildren Millissa Wilbur, Jillian Cook. Matthew Morris and Sam Morris.
She is predeceased in death by her husband Millard F. Johnson, her parents Floyd and Ruth Chambers, sons Michael Martell and Edward Bennett, brother Ralph Chambers and her beloved Corgi Maggie.
Memorial donations may be made to the Granville Rescue Squad, 54 Potter Ave, Granville, NY 12832.
