Kathleen M Morse

Granville, NY - Kathleen Marie Morse, age 80, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on October 23, 2023.

Kathleen was born on July 30,1943 in Oceanside, NY, the daughter of Victor F. and Kathleen R. (Edmonds) Aker.

Kathleen made her home in Granville, NY since 1980. While living in Granville, Kathleen drove school bus for the Granville Central School District until

she retired. In total, Kathleen drove a school bus for more than 30 years.

Kathleen became a neighborhood grandmother for her many area children. Kathleen was also an officer in the Granville Senior Center and proudly ran the kitchen there for many years. Kathleen loved crafting which she did with the seniors at the center Kathleen also volunteered at an area nursing home holding craft classes. Kathleen's particular passions were sewing, and making blankets which would became family heirlooms.

Kathleen also volunteered at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SCPA) making blankets for the animals as well supplying bedding and food. Kathleen took great pride in adopting sheltered and homeless animals.

Kathleen enjoyed gardening at her home and any other place that welcomed her gardening desires.

Kathleen was predeceased by her father, Victor Aker, and her husband of 35 years, Donald D Morse Sr.

Kathleen is survived by her mother, Kathleen Aker, who is 101 years old, her sister Irene Specht and brother Forest (Skip) Aker. Kathleen is also survived by her 3 children Donald Morse (Kimberly) of Queensbury, NY, Cheryl Harrington (Glenn) of Redwood, NY, and Christy Decker of South Glens Falls, NY. Kathleen was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Kathleen will be missed

Friends may call from 12:30 - 2:30 pm on Friday, October 27, 2023 with burial following at Mettowee Valley Cemetery where she will be beside Donald forever.
