Arthur W. Stone, Sr.

Granville, NY - Arthur W. Stone Sr. age 69, passed away on November 23, 2023 at his home following a long illness, surrounded by his family.

He is the son of the late Arthur Stone of Fair Haven, VT and the late Esther VanGuilder Andrews of Granville, NY.

Arthur married Deborah (Ferguson on October 13, 2001.

Art was a very hard worker. He worked in several quarries in the Granville area throughout the years and during peak season he worked at Hicks Orchard. He enjoyed spending time with his family and two great nieces, Harley and Mia. Together they loved listening to music and playing guitar. They were his world.

He is predeceased by his parents, brothers Mona and Scott and his three sisters, Dora, Barb and Ellen.He was also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Adries and Irene Ferguson and brother-in-law Mike Ferguson. Art is survived by his beloved wife Deborah, daughter Amanda (Joe), Joshua, Arthur (Angela), Tracy, Adam, Shawn, Megan (Matt), Justin (Amber), Ryan (Amy) and Natasha. He was blessed with twelve grandchildren and one great grandson, his brothers Lyman (Pam), Dale, Arthur, Richard, Jerry (Sady) and sisters Karen, Pam, and Norma. Survivors also include his step-father Leonard Andrews. Other dear friends and family that will miss him are Patricia Ramey- Rabideau , his cousin Ed Matteson and several nieces and nephews.

Art enjoyed so many things, including daily trips to Stewarts for coffee with the guys, westerns, NASCAR, wrestling, going junking with his brother-in-law Albert and visiting with family and friends.

He will be missed beyond measure. Arthurs wishes were that there be no services. His family is holding a Celebration of life at the Modern Woodman hall in Wells, VT on December 16, 2023, starting at Noon.
