Joseph (Jody) Herrick Edwards, 63, of Granville, NY, passed away onDecember 28th, 2023 surrounded by family.

The funeral service will be held at Granville United Methodist Church (ChurchSt.) on January 6th at 1pm with Reverend McKinney officiating. A gathering will follow downstairs in the Methodist Church from 1:30 to 3pm. Robert M.King Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Jody was born in Granville, NY to Philip and Jean Herrick Edwards on March28, 1960.

He went to high school at Granville Jr/Sr High School andgraduated in 1978. He was the owner of Edwards Supermarket after taking over the business from his father until 2006. He then finished his career at Great Meadow Correctional Facility.

He enjoyed skiing, golfing, bowling, the JETS, music, and gathering with friends and family.

Jody is survived by his mother, Jean Edwards of Granville, NY, his sister and brother-in-law Debra (Garry) Loomis of Granville, NY, his brother and sister-in-law Gary (Denise) Edwards of Darian Center, NY, his daughters;

Jessica (Benjamin) Peat of Simpsonville, SC, Jenna Edwards of Glens Falls,NY, and Julianne (Mike) Edwards of Gansevoort, NY, his grandchildren;Gavin, Ariana, and Liam Peat of Simpsonville, SC, and his wife, Priscilla

Argelis of Granville, NY. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins,nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Philip J. Edwards, his nephew William (Willie) P. Edwards, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and many uncles and aunts.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Awareness Association.
