Maureen C Hill Obituary
Maureen Connors Hill of Poultney passed away on December 27, 2023.
Maureen was born on February 7, 1943 the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Doyle) Connors in Hartford, CT.
She graduated from the West Pawlet Elementary Schoo, Mt. Saint Joseph and Trinity College (Burlington). At age 20 Maurren began her profession as an English teacher which she pursued for over 30 years.
In 1967 she married Richard L. Hill of Poultney. The couple had one son, Jonathan R. Hill. Jonation married Stacy Smith of Rutland and raised his family in Poultney. They blessed Maureen with three grandchildren: Alexis, Connor and Liam. Maureen is also survived by a sister Dolores Luebke (Jay).
Her other passion in life besides teaching was her love of animals, especially cats. In honor of that the family requests donation in her memory be made to the Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763.
A Celebration of Maureen's life will be announced at a later date.
