Ethan George Warner Obituary

Ethan G. Warner

Granville, NY - Ethan George Warner passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 25, 2024, in Hartford, NY.

Ethan was born February 27th, 1991. He was raised in the Pawlet community and was the middle child in a family of three boys. He attended Mettawee Community School and Granville High School, eventually moving to Glens Falls with his family, where he would go on to earn his GED from Glens Falls High School. He attended one semester of college at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY.

Growing up, Ethan's paternal grandparents lived a short walk up the driveway, and he loved spending time there whenever he could. Summers were spent on Lake St. Catherine at the family camp which belonged to his maternal grandparents, surrounded by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other family members. He always loved taking yearly trips to Rhode Island to visit his maternal grandparents, where he enjoyed the beach and fresh seafood dinners surrounded by family.

Ethan was thoughtful and wise, creative, and funny. He especially loved to read, and had an incredible collection of books, all of which he had read at least once. He had a sincere love of music and had even taught himself to play bass guitar in recent years. Ethan was an animal lover and was extremely close with the numerous family pets over the years. He most recently earned his meat cutting certification and officially became a butcher, an achievement he was tremendously proud of.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Theresa Warner.

Ethan is survived by his father, David G. Warner of Granville, his mother, Jenny Warner of Queensbury, and his two brothers, Seth and Austin of Hartford, NY and Maple Plain, MN, respectively. Additionally, he is survived by his paternal grandfather David A. Warner, of Venice, FL and Granville, NY, as well as his maternal grandparents, George and Myrna Boyce of Largo, FL. He also has several aunts, uncles, and cousins all over the country who will miss him dearly.

Calling hours will be 2-4PM on Saturday, February 3rd, at the Robert M. King Funeral Home in Granville, NY, with a service to immediately follow. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, please consider making a small donation to an addiction treatment charity of your choice. A couple suggestions for those interested are the Addiction Care Center of Albany, or The Divided Sky Foundation, located in Ludlow, VT.
