Hampton, NY - Sherry L. Martindale, age 67, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on February 19, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Sherry was born on April 15, 1956 in Granville, NY the daughter of the late Raymond and Charlotte (Batease) Petty.
She was a graduate of Granville High School. In 1975 she married the love of her life William Martindale. Sherry started her days making sure her grandchildren got on the school bus. An ideal day was spent with her daughter Sarah, heading off for some shopping at Walmart and maybe catching a couple yard sales on the way. Every night after work Bill brought her a lotto ticket. Sherry's family was her life and her grandchildren were the icing on that cake.
Sherry was predeceased by her parents, her siblings Sharon Alexander, Raymond, Gordon, Robert. Ernest and Vernon, a son William Martindale Jr, grandchildren Shawn and Sierra and a grandson Corey Martindale. She will be forever loved by her husband Bill and her children Michael Martindale (Laurie) of Hampton and daughter Sarah Martindale of Fort Ann. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren: Dylan, Jordan, Alyssa, Jaxson and Harper of Hampton, Ryan of Fort Ann, and Ashley, Katlyn and Logan of Comstock. Added to her blessings were four great grandchildren Owen,Miley, Remington, and Ruger. Sherry is survived by her sister Donna Dalaba of Hampton.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 3 PM at the Granville Family Diner on Quaker St. in Granville.
