Roger C. DeKalb, age 84, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on July 6th, 2024.
Roger was born on March 24, 1940 the son of C. Emerson and Pearl (Lee) DeKalb.
Roger was a graduate of Granville Central School. He lived his entire lifeon the farm-in the house where he was born. He never ventured far from home. On one occasion he and his brother Lee drove cross-country and visited Alaska.
His life consisted of working the farm until he was no longer able. He worked mowing the town cemeteries for a number of years. He enjoyed bowling with his team. His greatest enjoyment was watching the wildlife on the farm. At one point he worked with the State of NY Conservation Department catching and moving otter to other parts of the state.
He is deceased by his parents, his brothers Lee DeKalb and Donald DeKalb and sister Catherine Fredlund. He is survived by his staters Freida Wilson of Comstock, Dorothy Parker (Richard) of Middle Granville and brother Ken DeKalb of Comstock and many neices and nephews.
At his request , there will be no calling hours or services. His interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
