Granville, NY - Bernice passed away at Glens Falls Hosptial on Sunday, September 8, 2024. She was born on July 3rd, 1944 in Bennington, Vermont the daughter of the late Paul and Marjorie (Brace) Krawczyk. She married to Donald VanGuilder, Sr on Jun 16, 1962. Bernice lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed taking care of others. She was employed at Eden Park Nursing home and loved her job. She was a natural caregiver. Bernice was always there to care for her family and loved ones, especially her son Donald VanGuilder Jr. She loved the arrival of fair season and all that it involved. Anticipation of consuming all kinds of junk food and watching truck pulls. But her number 1 enjoyment was watching NASCAR every Sunday afternoon. Bernice was predeceased by father and her step-mother Leona Krawczyk, her son Donald VanGuilder Jr, daughters Melanie Jean VanGuilder and Angie Severance and her husband Donald VanGuilder Sr. Survivors are her mother Marjorie Brace, daughter Star McGraw (Rickey), daughter Melissa VanGuilder and son-in-law Joseph Severance. She was blessed with four grandchildren: Melanie Merthew (Terry), Sonja Ayers (Matthew), William McGraw (Nichole), Bobby Severance (Megan) and seven great grandchildren Tristan Merthew, Mathew and Gunnar Ayers, Mason, William, Tyler and Alexas McGraw. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Mettowee Valley Cemetery in Granville, NY at 1 PM. Online condolences may be made at www.robertmkingfuneralhome.com.
