Middle Granville, NY - Russell Lewis Bailey Sr. , age 61, passed away on September 9, 2024 at his home.

He was born on November 3, 1962 in Glens Falls, NY the son of Edward and Margaret (LaFountain) Bailey.

He attended school in Fort Ann. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was employed as a crane operator at D. A Collns for many years.

Russell was predeceased by his father, a brother Ed. Bailey, sister Penny Bailey and fiance Missi Rozell. He is survived by Margaret "Skip' Bailey, sons Russell Bailey, Jr (Emily) , and William Bailey (Chelsea Senecal). He was blessed with five grandchildren; Zavier Pond, Maylin Bailey, Axel Bailey, Rinlee Bailey and Octavia Bailey.

He will be missed by his canine best friend Cesar along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Mettowee Valley Cemetery in Granville, NY. Following the burial there will be a celebration of life at the American Legion starting at 1 PM.
