Obituary of Annamarie Winchell
Annamarie Winchell Obituary
2/4/1951 - 12/7/2024
In loving memory of Annamarie Winchell who left us too soon.
Annamarie was an exceptionally loving and kind person. A devoted mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and daughter. You were blessed if she was a part of your life. Her smile would light up a room and her laughter was contagious.
Annamarie was the first born of eight children to Peter S. Jurnak, Sr. and Dorothy A. Jurnak.
She was predeceased by her father, Peter Jurnak, and her brother Lawrence Jurnak, Sr. She is survived by her sons Justin Hayes (Brittany Delor), Jacob Hayes (Kara White), two grandchildren Chase Hayes and Payton Hayes. Siblings are as follows: Kathleen Hayward (Kenneth), Peter Jurnak, Jr., Christine Brown (Thomas), Andrew Jurnak, Andrea Edwards, and Sandra Sturdivant (Paul) and a long list of nieces and nephews. Also survived by John Winchell and family.
She graduated from Granville High School in 1969. She was employed at Norton Company, the North Granville Post Office (20 Years), a local greenhouse, and she also influenced the lives of many children as a bus monitor for Granville, and most recently, Fort Ann school district (8 years). She was a past President of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, and a member of the VFW to honor those that served our country.
Annamarie walked in faith as a child of God. She enjoyed laughter and life with family and friends. She was an energetic person with a passion for gardening, nature, and her plants. She loved all aspects ocean, including long walks on the beach, shelling, and ocean view sunrises. Annamarie loved listening to birds sing, with her favorite birds sing, with her favorite bird being the bluebird. Whenever you see a bluebird, picture Annamarie with her angel wings.
She will be honored by her family with a visitation at Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church Street, Granville on Sunday afternoon, December 15, 2024 from 1-3. At 3 PM Pastor Seth Callahan will conduct a brief prayer service. Following the service the family will continue to celebrate her life at a reception at the Fort Ann Firehouse, 11289 NYS Rt. 149.
