Obituary of Bernard Gallagher

Bernard Gallagher Granville, NY – Bernard "Bud" Gallagher, age 70, passed away at the farm he loved so much, on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Bud was born on February 4, 1947 in Wells, Vermont the son of the late George and Clara (Ballard) Gallagher. All but for his military service time, Bud and his brothers worked at their farm, Gallagher Bros, their entire lives. They loved all aspects of the farm and were a family business in the truest sense of the word. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers: George, Edward, Clifford and Thomas. He is survived by a sister Marion McCullough. Bud partnered with fellow farmer and dear friend, Leonard Keys and his son Alexander to better enable him to continue the farm operations. The Keys family became extended family to Bud. This includes Lenny's wife Cynthia, and children Christopher, Jordan and Samantha. He became a "grandfather" figure to James Wadsworth, a role which Bud embraced. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 3 PM at the Wells Cemetery, Wells, VT. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert M King Funeral Home, Granville, NY.
