Jacquelyn Perry Obituary Jacquelyn "Jackie" Marie Perry 1954-2023 WEST PAWLET Jacquelyn ``Jackie" Marie Perry, 69, a resident of West Pawlet , passed away December 23, 2023 at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Jacquelyn was born in Bennington County on September 19, 1954 the daughter of Katherine (Kitty) Leary and Kenneth Roy Dooley. Jackie attended local schools in Manchester, VT and was a graduate of Burr & Burton Seminary class of 1972. Jacquelyn married her High School Sweetheart R Kenneth(Ken) Perry on April 1, 1985. They resided together in their home in West Pawlet for over 20 years. Jackie held many jobs over the years including being the Crossing Guard at "Malfunction Junction", Mrs.Murphy's Donut Shop, Ski Club, The Eagles Club, and cleaning many houses in the Manchester and surrounding area. Jackie immersed herself in many community activities, most predominantly her involvement with the food shelf where she never shied from showcasing her amazing couponing skills to acquire food, and other necessities for her community. Jackie's true passion though was her family; as she was the definition of a family person who enjoyed and capitalized on any activity with them. From camping for over 20 years at Lake St. Catherine, hosting family gatherings such as Christmas and Birthdays at her home, card games such as Cribbage, Uno, Skip Bo, and Rummy, don't worry though she most certainly was not going to let you win and countless family reunions; where she could always be found calling out bingo numbers making sure to remember and highlight everyone's special dates and refer to them as "extra special numbers". Her passion went beyond the family still living as she always ensured to maintain and decorate each of our family graves with a flower bouquet she created herself and little trinkets. Jackie's love language was gift giving. Every gift she gave had an immense amount of thought and was always especially curated to the person receiving it. Jackie made sure she was always listening to things they mentioned and the specific hobbies they were intrigued by that year; however you could always count that she never missed a good sale or capitalized on a coupon that could be used for that special gift. Her love of the color purple and elephants were apparent the second you walked through her door and were greeted with the hundreds of elephants in her home, each of which had a special story and a memory of who it had been given to her by. When not busy with family and community activities Jackie and her husband enjoyed their weekend getaways to Saratoga, Atlantic City, and Foxwoods where they made countless memories together. Jackie had a special ability to always be able to ensure all those around her felt as though they were wanted and wholeheartedly loved in every way. Rest in Peace, your heart has touched and impacted so many, your love will live on.
