Sandra J Horton, "Sandy", of Salem, NY entered into eternal rest April 10, 2024. Sandy was born April 12, 1942 to the late Victor and Mary (Baker) Eastman in Pawlet, Vt. She retired from Salem Central School after 35 years of dedication driving bus, observing the students grow and mature into the community as adults. Sandy enjoyed having a good time and loved to laugh. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She and Ralph enjoyed watching the elk and birds from their sun porch, and watching The Waltons and The Guilded Age. Sandy is predeceased by her brother James Eastman and sister Laura Eastman. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ralph Horton, and children Jeffrey Randall (Jamie) and Robin (Randall) Daly; grandchildren Erin (Daly) Zimmer (Dustin), Heather (Randall) Steiert (Michael), Daniel Randall (Kylin), and Matthew Daly (Casey); great-grandchildren Jack, Lydia, Declan, Millie, Lennon, Jameson, and Sullivan; siblings Victor Eastman and Faith Bloomfield; many nieces and nephews and special friends Jean McMorris and Roscoe Loveland. Respecting Sandy's wishes, graveside services will be held at the Mettowee Valley Cemetery in Pawlet on Friday, April 19th at 10 am.
