Susan J. Haskins, age 67 passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018 at her home in Granville NY, following a long illness. Susan was born in Granville, NY and grew up in Pawlet, VT. She was the fifth of six children to Alice J. Haskins and Edgar F. Haskins. Susan attended Elementary school in Pawlet Village and High School at Granville Central School, graduating in the Class of 1969. She worked a summer at Telescope Co. in Granville and entered Mildred Elley Secretarial School in Albany, NY, graduating in 1970. Susan was employed at the La Salle School in Albany NY, as a secretary/typist for many years before greener pastures and motherhood moved her further on the journey of life. She had one son, Florenzo Robert J. DeAngelis, and was married to F. Robert DeAngelis Sr. She lived for a time in Schenectady, NY, Watervliet, NY, Bennington VT and Ballston Spa, NY. Eventually she returned to her roots in Granville, living there for the past dozen or so years. Susan was predeceased by; her parents, a brother Edgar W. Haskins, a sister Pamela J. Haskins, her husband, and her son. She is survived by brothers; Roger B. Haskins (Diane), Peter T. Haskins (Vickie), a sister Mary J. Sheldon, nieces- Sarah Desomier (John), Amy Haskins, Carol Haskins, Kaitlyn Haskins, and Alexis Haskins. Also survived by nephew Leslie F. Haskins. She was also predeceased by special friend Donald Keyworth of Granville. Special thanks go to her cousins and close friends whom gave her comfort and support throughout her long illness. Calling hours will be at the Robert King Funeral Home on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. The Members of the John Falvey-Sullivan M. Fringi V.F.W. Auxiliary #1653 will hold a service at the funeral home at 3:00 pm. A reception will follow the services at the V.F.W. Hall at 9 North Street, Granville to continue the celebration of Susan's life. Burial will be a private service at Mettowee Cemetery in Pawlet at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O.
