Our deepest sympathy to the Bernard family on their recent loss. I went to school with Ben ,Gale,Midge and Dee Dee, as well as spending many afternoons romping around the fields and cow pastures of south Granville. My mom waitressed for Peggy when she had the White Rock resterant. That's when I got to know her pretty well. She was the sweetest and kindest lady you could ever meet, but was also strong and stern! We will never forget Peggy and we have all the memories of her to cherish! God bless you all!

I remember Aunt Peg as a tireless person with bundles of energy. She was a strong person who seemed constantly "working" whether at an outside job, family business, or caring for her large family. My sister and I stayed with the Bernards when our parents went to Fla. to look for a house for our move. Somehow, she cared for us along with the rest of the kids.
My mother, Bess Costantino, was her sponsor when Peg decided to join the Catholic church. I always saw her at church when I visited Granville and would catch up with all her family news.
I am sad for the family's loss but the memory of her spirit makes me smile.
