Since many Family & Friends were not able to attend the Wake & Mass. We created a webpage to allow those who wished they could be there to see many of the moments from them. Thank you. The "Mac Kids" Jil, Jeffrey, Johnny, Cathy & Claire https://sites.google.com/site/macmenaminfamily/poppy

This was a special day for me. Veteran’s Day 2018 was bitter cold so Eddy Fish said we could park in his driveway so we could stay in the warm car to watch the parade. I had a seat warmer for Dad that he was quite fond of that plugs into the cigg lighter in the car and I made us travel mugs of hot Ovaltine and we had a sleeve of Fig Newtons to sustain us through the 30 minute parade.
Many people came up to the window to thank Dad for his service and say a quick Hi. After the parade we went to drop off some food for Father Joe at Saint Mary’s and Dad decided he wanted to ring the bell and assured me that Fr Joe told him he could ring it anytime he wanted. We shuffled over and finally got it to ring a deafening D-O-N-G!!!! But he wasn’t satisfied with that and wanted the full hunchback of Norte Dam “Sanctuary!” experience. It was soooo loud once we “got it really swingin!!” I was screaming and laughing uncontrollably wondering if we would be arrested any minute knowing everyone from the parade was at memorial park just a block away and could hear our racket.
I’m glad my brothers and sisters and I rang that bell and “really got it swinging” after Dad’s military salute following his funeral.
Dad was such a master at making us all laugh and this is just one of sooo many incredible memories. He will be missed for certain.
